Aimée Perera was born in Scotland, United Kingdom. She has been teaching for the last few years as an EFL teacher. She taught in China for the British Council and more recently she has been teaching in Spain. Inspired by the experiences she had abroad she developed an interest in educational equity and access to education, Aimée is currently undertaking a Master’s degree in International Educational Development.

Hannah Chung was born and raised in Seoul, South Korea. After graduating from Dartmouth College, she worked at Rauner Special Collections Library for a year, then moved back to Seoul to spend some time with her family before she starts graduate school in the United States. She believes the most effective way to bring about a positive and sustainable in the world is education. To make that positive change come true, Hannah is pursuing a Master’s degree in International Education Development at the University of Pennsylvania.

Josh Green calls Planet Earth home, but was born in Kentucky and currently pursues his masters in International Educational Development at the University of Pennsylvania. GO QUAKERS! In 2014, he received his bachelors in Signed Language Interpreting from the University of Cincinnati and has since worked as a Sign Language Interpreter in seven US states and 11 countries. Josh is also a dad to a 9 year old black lab named Bruno.

Liam Tumas was born in Philadelphia, PA, USA. He has worked as an educator in various capacities since 2007, most recently as a TEFL Peace Corps volunteer in East Java, Indonesia. Currently pursuing a master’s degree in International Education Development at the University of Pennsylvania, Liam is curious about challenges facing equitable education around the world.

Nicole Brigstock was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. She is currently a junior at the University of Pennsylvania, majoring in Political Science with a certificate in Global Human Rights. Nicole has volunteered and worked in a variety of countries, including the US, the Philippines, South Africa, Nepal, Ecuador, and Perú. She is passionate about international education because it combines her passions for travel around a fundamental human right.
